Kathmandu, Nepal | October 2026
QbD Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. proudly announces the launch of TETREN (Tetrabenazine) 25 mg Tablets, marking another significant milestone in the company’s journey of introducing new molecules and expanding access to specialized therapeutic options in Nepal.
The launch of TETREN reflects QbD Pharmaceuticals’ continuing legacy of identifying and introducing clinically relevant molecules to address evolving healthcare needs.
Introducing TETREN
TETREN contains Tetrabenazine 25 mg, a vesicular monoamine transporter 2 (VMAT2) inhibitor used for the management of chorea associated with Huntington’s disease.
Tetrabenazine acts by inhibiting VMAT2, reducing monoamine storage in presynaptic vesicles and consequently reducing dopaminergic signaling associated with choreiform movements.
The product incorporates an individualized dosing and gradual titration approach, in accordance with the approved prescribing information.
Continuing the QbD Legacy
The introduction of TETREN adds another specialized molecule to the QbD Pharmaceuticals portfolio and demonstrates the company’s ongoing focus on bringing new and differentiated therapeutic options to the Nepalese pharmaceutical market.
Through continuous portfolio development, QbD Pharmaceuticals aims to contribute to improved access to specialized medicines while maintaining its commitment to quality, scientific integrity, affordability, and responsible healthcare communication.
